My husband and I have always wanted a sauna but weren’t willing to take the step for the typical wooden one, nor did we have the space for one. I was browsing the internet and came across the X-VCAK Portable Steam Sauna. To be honest, I was skeptical upon first glance, thinking how something like this could possibly live up to the typical sauna, but multiple four and five star reviews encouraged us to buy one. If nothing else, we would only be out a couple hundred dollars, we thought. We purchased the KC-S01 model.

The set up was so easy that I’m sure I could have done it by myself. It was a simple stainless steel frame of posts that fit easily together and then pulling the walls over the frame, much like a tent. There is a mat that lays in the bottom and small pockets on the inside for the remote controls, towels, etc. There are two steamers that sit on the sides of the sauna and tubes that feed into it to two small steam boxes. Simply add a little water to the machines and set the amount of time that you want to sit inside, ranging from 1 to 99 minutes, along with the heat level from 1 to 9. This can also be done with the remote controls that came with the sauna. Ours only takes about fifteen minutes to heat to temperature.

The sauna came with two petite chairs, which were sufficient, but we put larger ones in for more comfort, and they fit perfectly. Our first time using it, my husband set the heat level to 8, and it was so steamy and hot inside that we had to zip open the three windows. We have found that level 5 works best for us, and we usually sit in it for thirty minutes, four to five times a week. When I say that this sauna does its job, it’s no understatement. We are soaked when we step out of it. It is every bit as good as a typical wooden unit.

The best part for me is that you can put this sauna virtually anywhere. At only 49″x36″x 71″ for the 2-person one that we bought, it fits in smaller spaces and, because it is heated by steamers, it doesn’t require venting. We are thrilled with it.
